Introduction

Itinerary –

Day 1 – McLeodGanj to Triund (2900 m.) [9 km. / 5 hours]

Nice trail in good condition. The morning starts around 8:00. Today we have gained a total altitude of over 1000 meters. Triund has beautiful ridges and meadows.

Day 2 – TRIUND to LAKA GOT (5 KMS / 3 hours)

Morning trek from Triund to Laka Got. Pass Snowline Cafe (1-2 hours from Triund) and an hour further through Ilaka Got. Use it as a rest day and do an acclimatization hike to the base of the mountains

Day 3- From ILAQA LAHESH CAVES

Today we will leave after breakfast. It may be one of the easier days. However, the ascent to Moon Peak can be attempted from Iraka. Tomorrow he will shorten his time by two hours and will be based at Lahesh Cave. If the group is ready to climb later in the day, the challenge can begin early in the morning. If the weather is not favorable, you can use it as an additional day.

Day 4 – Ascend Moon Point (4700m) and return to Iraka

Start early and cross the beautiful Indrahar Pass. After descending, climb again and climb Moon Peak (4700m). After a short stay there, return to base in the late afternoon.

DAY 5 – ILAQA ARRIVAL IN HIS McLeodganj

In the morning from Ilaqa he departs for McLeodganj to conclude a memorable trip.

Day6 – Reach Back Home

The Moon Peak Trek is a 45 km trek that starts from McLeodGanj in Dharamshala and passes Triund, Laka Gott, Lahesh Cave and the popular campsites of Indrahar. . It can be hot during the day due to high temperatures, but be prepared for very cool nights.
